The Lake Erie Bluffs Preservation Project is a multi phase project that includes the acquisition of aproximatly 229 acres in Perry Township, Lake County, which formed the Lake Erie Bluffs Park. The project will protect high quality native plant communities, wetlands, high quality habitats, riparian corridor, meadow and shrub/scrub but also 1,310 feet of Lake Erie shoreline. This wild sand beach stretches the width of the parcel and remains in its natural condition, weathering the forces of erosion due to a wide beach and high bluffs.
